Whether or not Starbucks' actual coffee gets you buzzing, the retailer's marketing efforts always seem like a pretty good wake-up call to the competition. The Seattle-based brand has shown rare ability with Facebook ads, Tumblr promos and mobile marketing. Now add Instagram videos to the mix. Starbucks had the best-performing quick-serve restaurant (QSR) social clip from Sept. 22 to Sept. 29, inspiring 105,600 likes and comments from followers on the platform. Since April, when it also had a winning video, the company's Instagram legions have grown from 2.3 million to 3.1 million. The Shareablee/Adweek chart below features eight categories (auto, beauty, consumer electronics, retail, fashion, celebrity, sports leagues and TV shows) that appear every week and showcase the best branded effort. Two wildcard niches are always sprinkled in, and we've chosen QSRs and magazines for this week's edition. Check out Starbucks' fast-paced clip and the other winners' videos while seeing what kind of reach the brands accomplished. Continue reading at 'AdWeek'
