The Sun’s Facebook chatbot drove nearly half users back to its site

The Sun has been experimenting with a Facebook Messenger chatbot for a month, pushing football content. During this time, it published 263 notifications. While the creative potential is there for publishers, the pressure is on to deliver more than automated feeds. The Sun will be rolling out more bots across verticals in the coming weeks.
