Shares of News Corp., controlled by billionaire Rupert Murdoch, had a record decline after the publisher of the Wall Street Journal and New York Post reported fiscal second-quarter profit that missed analysts' estimates.Earnings, excluding some items, were 20 cents a share in the period ended Dec. 31, trailing the 21-cent average of projections compiled by Bloomberg. Revenue fell 4% to $2.16 billion from a year earlier as advertising sales declined, hurt by the strength of the U.S. dollar, the New York-based company said Thursday in a statement.
