Mashable, ESPN and NY magazine strike a good balance of content to ad space. The Weather Company has native ads that are targeted to the user. Last but not least, Facebook's newsfeed ads get the vote of Reshift Media's Kirk Allen, who said they "are clearly indicated as ads and are part of the user experience."
