Dennis Publishing makes the majority of its £17 million digital revenue from advertising but is securing its future with a major e-commerce push. It has moved into uncharted waters following its acquisition of e-commerce site Buyacar and has spent the last year integrating the business, gaining regulatory compliance to sell cars, and training its staff to give financial advice on big-ticket purchases. It sold 1,500 used cars alone last year and is investing seven figures this year in a new website. It plans to build the proposition so it is selling 1,000 cars a month within the next two years.
