NPD Top 10 Publishers Ranked by Print & Digital Unit Sales, 2016

In February, we ran a listing of the country’s largest publishers ranked by print units sold through outlets that report to NPD BookScan. While that approach has its limitations (it doesn’t include ebook sales or sales at outlets that don’t report to BookScan), it does provide a look at how the largest trade publishers below the Big Five stack up. Now, NPD has put together a list that includes ebook sales from its PubTrack Digital service, which aggregates ebook unit sales supplied by more than 450 publishers, including the Big Five.
