The Radio Nowhere Blog

I've had a few requests over the years from people - they want to know how to be a music journalist in New Zealand, how to get to the "next level". I tell them that it's unlikely. It won't - probably - happen. It is, at best, a nice hobby. That's it. One or two - or a few - make a living from it. I don't. Never have. And so long as the person is fine with that they should set about writing a lot. And often. They should get their name out there - start a blog, approach people, publish straight to social media, they can run a blog through/on their Facebook page. Just get to writing. And start publishing.
