Warp Films has optioned TV rights in Husk, a “gripping, dystopian thriller” by J Kent Messum, published by Penguin this week. Rights for a returnable international TV series were acquired by Warp from Jonathan Sissons at Peters Fraser and Dunlop. Husk is a “gripping, dystopian thriller” which envisions a near future where it is possible to upload a person’s consciousness onto a server, but only for those with the resources to pay for it – and at great personal risk to the host.
