Weidenfeld & Nicolson has bought a debut novel about a female astronaut and an aging scientist. Publishing director Kirsty Dunseath bought UK and Commonwealth rights to Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton from Esmond Harmsworth at Zachary Shuster Harmsworth. The book charts the journeys of two characters. The first is a female astronaut, who is on the return from a two-year voyage into outer space and the second is an aging scientist marooned at an outpost in the Arctic alongside a mysterious young girl.
