The title overtook IPC's Woman, DC Thomson's People's Friend and Bauer's Heat (for the first time) in a single ABC reporting period.The title's market-busting performance – the sector was down 7.2% on average year-on-year – came from a strategy of discounting and packing New with other N&S titles.According to the ABC, 169,889 copies of New are sold at a discounted rate, 65%, which are sold as a multi-pack deal. Star also had 1,103 digital edition sales, which are included as long as they are purchased for at least 20% of the print cover price, taking its total circulation to 261,796.Among the top 10 sellers Bauer's third-ranked Closer was the biggest faller with sales down 15%...
