Publishers are grappling with a decline in home page traffic. Bloomberg Media seems to have found a remedy, though. When it relaunched its tech vertical, rather than implementing the traditional infinite scroll of articles, Bloomberg Media decided to send people to the vertical’s homepage. The experiment seems to be paying off: the homepage is getting seven times more page views than it was before, and page views per visit are up 28 percent. “We got people more engaged by exposing them to not one article that’s probably the wrong one, but a bevy of articles,” Bloomberg global head of digital M.
