On Aug. 24, when Facebook drew 1 billion users on a single day for the first time, the social network's impact on the world of conversation only became more obvious. But what exactly are people using the platform to talk about? To inform our readers, we've started working with Facebook to publish its monthly data about what people have been commenting on in the U.S. Below, you'll see the first edition of that content, which we'll publish early each month. (Forgive us for being a little late for August. The unusually late Labor Day weekend threw many folks' September schedule for a loop.)
