and Matthew Flamm - Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert, who has more time on his hands now that he's no longer running for president, will publish his first children's book in May, his publisher, Grand Central Publishing, announced on Tuesday. Viewers of The Colbert Report got the word early that the host was at work on a children's book: He brought it up during an interview with the children's author Maurice Sendak last month. A video of the interview went viral—which shows why Mr. Colbert is such a valuable publishing property.Titled I Am a Pole (And So Can You!), the book will be published May 8. The title is a play on Mr. Colbert's bestseller I Am America (And So Can You!). A follow-up to that book, called America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't, will be published in October.Mr. Colbert was in the news last week when he abruptly cancelled tapings of his show; it is believed that his 91-year-old mother had a health emergency.
