The title overtook IPC's Woman, DC Thomson's People's Friend and Bauer's Heat (for the first time) in a single ABC reporting period.The title's market-busting performance – the sector was down 7.2% on average year-on-year – came from a strategy of discounting and packing New with other N&S titles.According to the ABC, 169,889 copies of New are sold at a discounted rate, 65%, which are sold as a multi-pack deal.
