The Library of Birmingham will be open for just six hours on weekends once planned cuts are introduced. Under the plans, which have seen the library's opening hours slashed from more than 70 hours a week to just 40, the library will be open for six hours on a Saturday, and closed all day on Sunday. Its standard opening hours will now be from 11am to 7pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and just 11am to 5pm for the rest of the week. Continue reading at 'The Bookseller'
