Hodder & Stoughton is to publish the life story of an 82-year-old woman chosen as Farming Hero 2015 by BBC’s “Countryfile”. Joan Bomford, who lives near Evesham in Worcestershire, has been farming since the 1930s. She is still active on the farm, driving tractors, feeding the farm’s beef cattle and horses, and giving riding lessons.
