The Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has two exhibits this summer that connect with literature. The first, From the Limitations of Now, borrows its title from Oklahoma-born Ralph Ellison, author of The Invisible Man. The second, Dalí’s Alice in Wonderland, explores Salvador Dalí as illustrator of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. A third exhibit, Views of Greenwood, explores the Tulsa neighborhood that was all but destroyed in the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, the centennial of which is this year.
