First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright is expected to leave Mayor Eric Adams’ administration, the New York Post and other outlets reported Friday, making her the highest-ranking City Hall official to depart in the wake of the mayor’s criminal indictment and the federal investigations that have ensnared Wright and several of her colleagues.Wright denied to the Post that she had stepped down, and multiple reports suggested she is leaving under pressure from Adams. A respected figure within City Hall, Wright has been contemplating leaving the administration since shortly after the Sept. 4 search by authorities, one person who spoke with her told Crain’s.A City Hall spokeswoman said in a statement, “As always, no personnel changes are confirmed until it’s announced.”Her departure also seemed to be foretold by an executive...
