Driven by titles including Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury, which brought in sales worth almost £2.5m, and Reni Eddo-Lodge’s polemic Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race, which sold more than 100,000 copies, sales of political books were worth £20.4m last year, according to Nielsen Book, up from £11.7m in 2016.
