Adult author Sheila O’Flanagan has written a children's book to be published by Hodder Children’s Books in 2016. The Runner is aimed at readers aged 10+ and is about a 16-year-old called Joe. When he is being chased by bullies he accidentally runs through a portal to another world, and finds himself among a group of boys and girls who have to secure the shield that protects their country from the enemy tribe.
