SHARJAH FOCUS: Which authors are coming to London Book Fair?

Khulood Al Mu’alla Khulood Al Mu’alla was chosen this year as an honorary member of the Costa Rica Poetry Foundation and advisor to the International Poetry Festival of Costa Rica. She was honoured along with three poets as part of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Poets of Peace initiative in 2016. She was awarded the Buland Al Haidari Award for Young Arab Poets at Morocco's Asilah Art Festival in 2008. Khulood has published six poetry collections and anthologies which have been translated into Spanish, Turkish, and Italian. During her participation in international French, Italian, German and English festivals, many of her poems have been translated and published. She also writes a monthly article for Publishers Weekly Magazine. Her poetry collection, The Way That Takes Me, was translated into French, Indian, Italian, Russian and English as part of the translation project carried out by Sharjah Book Authority. Dr Abdulaziz AlMusallam Dr Abdulaziz AlMusallam is an Emirati novelist, writer, researcher and consultant in cultural heritage. He is chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage. Dr Abdulaziz is known for his research and scientific interests in the Gulf and Arab cultural heritage. He holds a Ph.D. in History and Heritage. He has a collection of publications in culture, fairy tales, folk memory, and Nabati poetry. His work has been translated into English, Italian, Spanish, and Czech.
