Scholastic Children’s Books has signed a four-book deal with Johnny Smith, a screenwriter on CBBC TV shows such as "Dennis & Gnasher" and "Muddle Earth". The series, John Smith is NOT Boring, is about John Smith who has a boring name but his adventures take him from the Wild West to pirate infested seas. The first two books, Cap'n John the (Slightly) Fierce and Sir John the (Mostly) Brave will publish in April 2015, with a further two titles to follow in July 2015.
