Scholastic pinches Minchin’s Matilda

Scholastic UK has secured world rights to a picture book of the lyrics from musician, actor and comedian Tim Minchin’s song “When I Grow Up” (taken from “Matilda the Musical”), illustrated by Steve Antony. The publisher told The Bookseller Daily at Bologna Children's Book Fair that the book will imagine, “with equal amounts of humour and pathos”, what adult life is like from a child’s perspective. Minchin said: “I adore Steve’s work. It’s been a thrill to watch him develop his gorgeous illustrations—I can’t wait to hold a copy.” Continue reading at 'The Bookseller'
