The sixth floor’s rooms contain books about management, the eighth floor has erotic literature, and the tenth includes books about other libraries.Fans say the 60-room, 6,000-book Library Hotel at 299 Madison Ave., down the street from the New York Public Library, is among the best in New York.“I could not have picked a better hotel,” a traveler wrote recently on TripAdvisor. “Nothing was too much trouble for [the staff]. They looked after me from the start to the end.”But the Library Hotel has a problem: Its books are overdue. Specifically, its financial statements haven’t been updated with its loan servicer in more than a year.
