Introducing the 2019 Folio: 100 and Rising Stars Honorees

Throughout the year, we report on the good and bad things happening in and around the print and digital publishing world. Sometimes the stories offer true inspiration, while other times they make us and our readers cringe. But that’s business. What’s always consistent in what we report is simple: the people. Without the people in our industry, what we do here would be unnecessary and frankly irrelevant. The brands, the stories, the exciting new trends and innovation that’s happening wouldn’t be possible without smart, dedicated people committing themselves to their vocations. It would be trite to say that this year’s lists are the best we’ve ever composed, so I won’t. However, I will say both are tremendous testaments to the strength of our industry. They are comprised of thought leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and most important: people who get shit done. I encourage you to take a look at this year’s list, and acknowledge the folks who are figuratively keeping the lights on in... Continue reading at 'Folio Magazine'
