David Greene reported from Russia for NPR for two years. He and his wife, Rose, found life there to be frustrating and complicated – even as it was remarkable and unforgettable. Recently Greene returned to Russia, traveling its enormous expanse by train. He recorded his experiences and bittersweet reflections in his new book, Midnight in Siberia.
