IAB Announces Schedule for 2017 Digital Video NewFronts

Get your calendars ready to start planning for the sixth annual Digital Content NewFronts. The Interactive Advertising Bureau today announced the programming schedule for the event, which takes place in New York from May 1-12. Participants range from publishing stalwarts like The New York Times to digital darlings like Refinery29, and more will be announced as May gets closer. Some companies who presented last year—including Playboy, the Economist and SheKnows—have yet to confirm their participation this time around. (Check out the lineup below.) "Investment in the [digital video] medium has been significant, with 51 percent year-over-year growth in the first half of 2016 alone," said Anna Bager, svp and general manager for mobile and video at the IAB, in a statement. "The strength of the 2017 NewFronts' roster of blue chip media companies and inventive content creators is sure to inspire advertisers and media agencies to increase their commitment to digital video even further." Brands and media buyers pay close attention to the annual NewFronts, a "10-day marketplace" for publishers and creation studios to show off their plans for the new year. It's the digital equivalent to the television upfront presentations, which take place the following week. More information about NewFronts and updates on the schedule can be found on the IAB's website. Continue reading at 'AdWeek'
