HarperVoyager signs second from Tahir

HarperVoyager has signed a second novel by Sabaa Tahir, a sequel to her book An Ember in the Ashes. Editorial director Natasha Bardon signed UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in the as-yet-unnamed novel in a deal with Penguin Random House US, which will be published in 2016. The book will continue the story of An Ember in the Ashes, released in the UK this week. The story is set in a world with echoes of ancient Rome, and sees a slave, Laia, and an unwilling soldier, Elias, joining together to overcome a powerful martial empire.
