Random House imprint Vintage Books announces global sales of erotic thriller which started life as Twilight fan fictionOne-hundred-million copies of EL James's erotic trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey, have now been sold around the world, her US publisher announced today.More than 27m of the books, which tell of a billionaire's seduction of a college student, were sold in the UK and Commonwealth countries, Vintage Books said, with more than 45m copies sold in the US, and one million or more sold in Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, and Holland.James's novels have now been translated into 51 different languages in total, including Thai, Hebrew, Icelandic, Latvian, Korean and Mongolian, said Vintage."Guys ... thank you for this," tweeted James, as the news was announced.
