Faber buys Al-Tawany title

Editorial director Hannah Griffiths acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Elizabeth Sheinkman at Curtis Brown to Al-Tahawy's fourth novel, Brooklyn Heights. It will be the first of her works to be published in the UK. Faber will publish in August 2011. The story is told through its Egyptian narrator, Hend, who has moved to Brooklyn to escape her unfaithful husband in Cairo, and now lives as a single mother. read more Continue reading at 'The Bookseller'
