Allen & Unwin acquires Swedish crossover novel

Allen & Unwin has acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights to Heart of Jazz by Sara Lövestam, a novel about a bullied schoolgirl and a retired jazz musician. Sam Redman at Allen & Unwin UK acquired the book from Maria Cardona and Marina Penalva at Pontas Literary & Film Agency. The book was first published in Swedish by Piratförlaget and is “a warm and cozy story about how unexpectedly you can find a friend when you most need one”.
