4 Shout-Outs to Publishers Doing Their Part During the COVID-19 Outbreak | May 8

On March 27 we decided it was important to end each week on a much needed high note, so we published the first edition of 4 Shout-Outs. Seven weeks later, and we continue to see publishers—small and large—find unique ways to support their communities, despite facing difficult times of their own. While this is one of the most challenging moments in our industry's history, it has brought out the best in many of us. Thank you to all those we've featured thus far, as well as to those we may have missed but recognize how important it is to give back. MJH Life Sciences is not only developing around-the-clock health care content with resources  to improve patient outcomes, but it is also offering free weekly educational webinars. What’s more, it’s inviting listeners and readers to contribute to the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, and matched all donations made in the month of April. Last weekend, business news publisher Morning Brew hosted a two-day online poker tournament to raise money for Frontline Foods, a grassroots organization feeding COVID-19 frontline workers. The buy-in to play was $100 per person and the tournament raised over $200,000. The list of participants included a who’s who of notable CEOs and business leaders from nearly every sector. May 5 was Giving Tuesday Now, a global initiative encouraging people to help those impacted by COVID-19.
