Hilary Mantel received a damehood for her services to literature from the Prince of Wales in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace today (6th February). It was announced Mantel would receive the honour last June in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. The damehood follows a CBE awarded to Mantel in 2006. Continue reading at 'The Bookseller'
