After two Hollywood failures, 2000AD’s British publisher Rebellion is planning ‘one of the most expensive TV shows the UK has ever seen’ with Mega-City OneAfter two attempts to bring classic British comic character Judge Dredd to the big screen, the publishers of 2000AD have decided that the only way to properly adapt the leather-clad lawman of a dystopian future is to do it themselves.The game developer and comics publisher Rebellion, which bought the title in the year 2000, is creating a TV series called Judge Dredd: Mega-City One. The project is still in its early stages, with no director or cast yet in place, but fans are hoping the square-jawed judge, jury and executioner who patrols the future-shocked streets of the 22nd century will finally get the adaptation he deserves.
