HarperCollins to publish Whitney Houston bio

Cissy Houston, Whitney Houston's gospel-singer mom, has sold a book about her late daughter to HarperCollins Publishers, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. Steve Fisher, the Los Angeles-based agent representing Cissy Houston, concluded the deal with HarperCollins in recent weeks. Terms of the sale could not be learned, though insiders had expected the price tag to reach seven figures if Ms. Houston was willing to be frank about her daughter's troubles. Neither a spokeswoman at HarperCollins nor Mr. Fisher responded to requests for comment. Continue reading at 'Crains New York'
