Guardian Faber has signed a book on the BBC, by the Guardian's chief culture writer Charlotte Higgins. The book, based on Higgins' essay series, will explore the history, past and future of the uniquely British institution. Guardian Faber editorial director Laura Hassan signed the book in a deal directly with the author. Hassan said: "This is a wonderfully atmospheric and lively journey through the BBC.
